SULTANATE OF OMAN: THE MAGICAL LAND OF UNDISCOVERED BEAUTY

We met with the Robb Report team in the Sultanate of Oman to shoot editorial photos for their issue of the Sultanate of Oman, which has become a favorite of many people with different and distinguished tastes with its breathtaking natural beauty and riches. As we all returned home after a very busy 7 days, we were still intoxicated by what we had experienced and seen…

Thousands of photographs covering many subjects such as the capital Muscat, Sur, Wahiba Sands, Nizwa, Jebel Akhdar, Bahla, Amuage Perfumes, Rose oil production, Traditional boat building, Khanjar production etc. were selected by the editors for the appreciation of Robb Report readers.

MUSCAT: THE CAPITAL'S FASCINATING ATMOSPHERE

Muscat, the capital of the Sultanate of Oman, greets its visitors with its enchanting atmosphere. Muscat's narrow streets and historical buildings are like an open-air museum with its rich cultural heritage from the past to the present. The photographs we took here reveal both the modern face and the traditional texture of the city.
SUR: HISTORICAL TEXTURE AND TRADITIONAL BOAT MAKING

Sur is known as the center of traditional boat building in Oman. This small port city is famous for its historical texture and the finely crafted wooden boats of its craftsmen. We observed the step by step production process of the boats made using traditional methods and were fascinated by this process. Our editors worked diligently to capture every detail of this unique craft.
JEBEL AKHDAR: TERRACES ON HIGH HIGH

Jebel Akhdar, known as the “Green Mountain” of Oman, attracts the attention of nature lovers with its terraces located high up. The agricultural activities carried out on these terraces and the variety of plants growing on them make the mountain resemble a paradise. In our photographs, we captured the unique views offered by these high mountains.
BAHLA: MAGNIFICENT CASTLES AND HISTORICAL ARTIFACTS

Bahla is home to Bahla Fort, one of the most important historical monuments in Oman. This magnificent fort is on the UNESCO World Heritage List and offers its visitors a journey into the depths of history. The magnificent structure of the fort and the historical artifacts around it attract attention as an indicator of cultural richness.

AMOUAGE PERFUME: THE LAND OF UNIQUE SCENTS

Oman is also known worldwide for its Amouage perfumes. These perfumes are known for their unique scents produced using traditional methods. Our visit to the Amouage factory showed us how these unique perfumes are produced. The subtleties in the production process of perfumes and the natural materials used explain why these scents are so special.

WAHIBA SANDS: ENORMOUS DESERT VIEWS

Wahiba Sands is an ideal destination for those who want to explore Oman's vast desert landscapes. Our safari among the sand dunes gave us the opportunity to see the fascinating beauties of the desert up close. The golden sands during the day and the starry sky at night helped us create unforgettable memories.

NIZWA: HISTORICAL RUINS AND MARKETS

Nizwa is a city famous for its historical ruins and traditional markets. Nizwa Castle and the market places around it are important points that preserve the historical texture of the city. During our trips to the historical castle, we found many traces of Oman's past. In the market places, we witnessed the daily life of the local people and were hosted by their hospitality.
ROSE OIL MANUFACTURING: THE MAGIC OF TRADITIONAL METHODS

Rose oil production in Oman is done using traditional methods that have been around for centuries. The processing process of the roses we collect in rose gardens is a work of art in itself. The rose oils obtained in this process attract great attention from both local people and tourists. Our editors documented this magical process with the most beautiful shots.

KHANJAR PRODUCTION: THE SYMBOL OF ELEGANCE AND STRENGTH

Khanjar is known as the traditional dagger of Oman and is a symbol of power as well as elegance. These unique daggers, made by Omani craftsmen, attract attention with their detailed workmanship. We observed every stage of khanjar production and immortalized the intricacies of this art with our photographs.

The Sultanate of Oman continues to fascinate its visitors with its natural beauties and rich cultural heritage. Together with the Robb Report team, we are very happy to share with you the experiences we had and the beauties we saw while exploring this fascinating country. The photographs we compiled from this unique trip reveal the unique atmosphere and richness of Oman.
